ARTIST’S STATEMENT: The sun prayer painting expresses the power and auspiciousness of connecting in prayer to the sun particularly at sunrise. The being in the sun is depicted in respect to the suns continual service to humanity on earth. The rays of the sun are presented clearly to emphasise their healing capacity on us, as we absorb rays of light. This has been termed as sun gazing, where it is spiritually uplifting consciously or unconsciously, to absorb these rays of light. This can create feelings of humility, gratitude and love to the Source for the celebration of life, and connection to the cycles of daylight for wellbeing and stability on earth.
