2024 Peace Festival Peace Festival with the theme ‘Healing the Community’ was held on Sunday, 15 September 2024 at the Theatrette, Victorian Pride Centre, 79-81 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda celebrating International Day of Peace. It is a multicultural healing arts festival aspiring to build a more inclusive and harmonious community..
2023 St Kilda Peace Festival with the theme “Healing the Spirit” was held at O’Donnell Gardens, next to Luna Park in St Kilda, on Sunday 24 September 2023. Thank you Rotary Albert Park, the Victorian Government and everyone at the Planetary Healing Artists’ Association for your amazing support. We had a magical day! 1pm-4pm: The Main Stage, near Luna Park, Carlisle Street, St Kilda. 4pm-5pm: The Peace March to the Peace Pole at the Foreshore, St Kilda. 6pm-7pm: Opening of the ‘Healing the Spirit’ art exhibition at Artful Yoga Gallery, 1 Vale Street, St Kilda. This was an intercultural, interfaith and inter-spiritual healing arts festival for healing the spirit for the well-being of all, celebrating International Day of Peace.
2023 Peace Pole Installation ceremony was a celebration of the peace pole being installed with messages of peace from various leaders and representatives within the community. Planetary Healing Artists’ working together with Albert Park Rotary and supported by City of Port Phillip finally installed a Peace Pole on 26 May 2023, following a peace ceremony dedicated to the pursuit of world peace. It stands as a visual sentinel of peace at St Kilda Foreshore, next to Stoke House. It was planted to create a sacred space for all the community to connect, elevating human consciousness and embracing the oneness of our diverse humanity. Originating in Japan after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Peace Poles are inscribed with the divinely inspired message of May Peace Prevail on Earth in various languages, standing in a silent vigil for peace to prevail on our Earth.
2022 Peace Festival & Planetary Healing Artists' 10 Year Anniversary! On Sunday, 18th of September, 3.00pm-5:30pm at Mary Kehoe Community Centre, 224 Danks Street, Albert Park, Planetary Healing Artists’ celebrated their 10 year anniversary inviting the community to join them with a delicious meal and awards for past volunteers and supporters. It was celebrated with the theme “Healing the Youth” for International Day of Peace.
2021 Online Peace Festival - For International Day of Peace, Planetary Healing Artists' lit candles in unity with messages of peace and/or prayer, on Monday 21 September 2021 for world peace, to spread love and compassion together, for a new world of peace and harmony for the well-being of all.
2020 St Kilda Peace Festival – Planetary HealingArts held a cultural musical Peace Festival in O’Donnell Gardens, St Kilda for the Summer Solstice in December and Opened the Visionary Peace art exhibition on a large screen for the dawning of Aquarius.
2019 Peace Event – To celebrate International Day of Peace, Planetary Healing Artists’ Association organised this Peace Pageant on 21st September 2019. This included the public gathering in Acland Plaza, Acland Street, St Kilda, a line up for the Peace March at 3.30 and followed by the Opening of the St Kilda peace art exhibition at Leroy’s, to bring together the community, intercultural/interfaith/interspiritual individuals and organisations.
2018 Peace Event – UN International Day of Peace Port Phillip Peace Pageant held on Friday 21st September 2018, 4pm – 7pm. The event gathered at Acland Plaza, Acland St, St Kilda, followed by a Peace Walk to Cora Graves, 38 Blessington St, St Kilda, then by an Opening of Dove of Peace art exhibition, Cora Graves. Our theme this year is Healing the Soul. This is our seventh Healing event, returning to welcome you to come and join us at this special time. Healing the Soul promotes healing for the individual, like a ripple in a pond, it goes out to the community, then globally.
2017 Solstice Global Healing This year’s Solstice Healing Event was a musical event featuring sacred music from different faiths and cultures at Acland Plaza, Acland Street, St Kilda.
2016 Solstice Global Healing The sun shone on our Summer Solstice Global Healing Day this year, which was again held at Catani Gardens, St Kilda. The theme for this solstice event was Healing the Heart.
2015 Solstice Global Healing The Summer Solstice Global Healing Day was again held at Catani Gardens, St Kilda. The theme for this solstice event was Healing the Self.
2014 Solstice Global Healing The Summer Solstice Global Healing Day was held at Catani Gardens, St Kilda. The theme of this solstice event was Healing the Family.
2013 Solstice Global Healing We hosted our second Summer Solstice Global Healing event, a free community-based interfaith, multicultural event. The theme of the event was Healing the Children.
2012 Global Healing Day The Planetary Healing Artists’ organized our first Global Healing Day event at Catani Gardens, St Kilda foreshore with around 30 participants and 200 or more people in attendance. The event theme was Healing the Planet, and later would be known as our first Solstice event. Indigenous Elders performed a traditional Smoking Ceremony, people of many different faiths, spiritual and local groups, poets, artists, musicians, environmentalists connected for this Healing event for peace and harmony. Planetary Healing Artists’ showcased the symbolism of co-operation, interracial communication, acceptance, peace and love between all people. No group was excluded, and all were welcome.
In 2011, an original play written by one of the younger members of the Planetary Healing Artists’ was performed under the iconic Moreton Bay Tree at Christchurch in Acland Street as part of the St Kilda Festival. This unique and imaginative production showcased the creative talent within our group and offered a fresh theatrical experience in a natural setting. The play was opened by Rod Quantock and featured three performances, each drawing an intimate and appreciative audience. The outdoor venue lent a magical quality to the storytelling. It remains a memorable highlight in the Planetary Healing Artists’ history of original works, and our first performance demonstrating our commitment to nurturing creative young voices.
